The Brevard Watercolor Society strives to enhance the medium of watercolor in the eyes of the public and to educate others of its beauty. As part of our mission, BWS provides funds for scholarships awarded to talented high school art students in Brevard County. This school year we are funding up to four $500 awards. 

 

This scholarship provides a one-time award $500 and may be used for college tuition, lab fees, required books and art supplies. The criteria for the scholarship requires that the successful candidate is: 


* Must be a Brevard County resident

* Must be a current year junior or senior in a Brevard public high school or home school

* Have a minimum 2.0 GPA

* Provide quality images of at least three competed watercolor paintings for evaluation

* Provide a brief essay on his/her interest in watercolor painting (inspiration, technique, influences, goals, etc. )


Submission deadline is March 31, 2019.
