Come meet up with fellow artists!
Bring your friends along!
We meet around 8:30 am or so at the given locations (see below). You may choose to attend a little earlier or later. You can bring a lunch or visit one of the nearby restaurants with the group.
If there is enough participation, BWS is contemplating having a special tent exhibit at the BWS annual juried Splash show next spring, with prize awards. Any plein air paintings that BWS would exhibit would be required to be in the watercolor medium. The complete prospectus / rules for exhibiting plein air paintings will be forthcoming via handouts at the events and on this website.
BWS members & friends, please try to attend these outdoor activities. They are free and you don't have to be a BWS member to attend. You may also paint outdoors in any medium.
What do you need to have to paint outdoors? You need the same equipment you use indoors to paint with, plus a few conveniences such as a folding chair, umbrella, sunscreen, hat, easel, a support for your watercolor paper, water pail, paper towels and a trash bag for your used paper towels.
